Two certifications, and why they matter to you

Every roof we book is installed by Jersey Roofing, which holds both. Any roofer can buy GAF or Owens Corning shingles. A standard shingle warranty covers manufacturing defects, but not how the roof was installed. The longest workmanship coverage either manufacturer offers can only be registered by contractors it has certified.

How your free inspection works

An hour at your home, with straight answers and no sales pressure.

  1. Pick a time

Fill out the form or call. We'll confirm a time that works, including Saturdays.

  2. We inspect roof and attic

Shingles, flashing, valleys, chimneys, gutters and decking from above, then ventilation, insulation and moisture from the attic.

  3. You get a written report

Photos of what we found, how much life the roof has left, and whether a repair will do.

  4. Choose your options

If a replacement makes sense, we price GAF and Owens Corning systems side by side, with each warranty spelled out. Your contract, installation and warranty are with Jersey Roofing.

A roof is a system, not just shingles

Leaks rarely start in the middle of a shingle. They start at eaves, valleys, flashing and vents. That's why manufacturers tie their best warranties to a complete system of matched components, installed by a certified crew.

Questions homeowners ask us

Is the roof inspection really free?

Yes. We inspect the roof, the flashing and the attic, then walk you through what we found. There's no charge and no obligation.

Do I need a building permit to replace my roof in Westchester?

Usually, yes. New York's Uniform Code doesn't exempt reroofing from permits, and most Westchester municipalities require a building permit for a full replacement. Villages issue their own; hamlets go through the parent town. We confirm the rule for your address, and Jersey Roofing files the permit as part of the job.

Can you put a new roof over my old one?

New York's residential code doesn't allow a new layer over a roof that already has two or more layers, over slate or tile, or over a roof that's water-soaked or deteriorated. Even where an overlay is allowed, we recommend a full tear-off so the deck can be inspected and repaired. GAF's Golden Pledge® warranty requires it.

Should I choose GAF or Owens Corning?

Both make excellent shingles, and Jersey Roofing can register each company's strongest warranty. The choice usually comes down to the look and color you want, wind and impact ratings for your location, and the details of the warranty you prefer. We bring samples of both to the inspection.

Can you help with my insurance claim?

We document storm damage with photos and measurements and meet your adjuster to answer questions about the roof. New York law doesn't allow us or a contractor to negotiate a claim for you; only a licensed public adjuster can do that. We'll tell you plainly whether we see storm damage or normal wear.

How long does a roof replacement take?

Most single-family homes are finished in one to three days once materials are delivered. Large, steep or complicated roofs, slate removal and weather can add time. You get a schedule before work starts, and Jersey Roofing's crew protects landscaping, siding and driveways during the tear-off.
